Where We Started

Evergreen Event Hire grew out of a single wedding. In 2017, a friend asked for help styling her barn reception on a tight budget. We raided antique shops, borrowed from neighbours, and spent a weekend transforming a draughty agricultural building into something out of a magazine. The photographs went online, enquiries started arriving, and a business was born.

We began with a modest collection: a dozen glass lanterns, some vintage candlesticks, and a set of linen table runners sewn on a home machine. Today our inventory fills a purpose-built warehouse, and we service weddings and events across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset.

Despite the growth, we've kept things personal. Every client speaks directly with one of our two founders from first enquiry to final collection. No call centres, no juniors handed your file. Your day matters too much for that.

What We Stand For

Sustainability

Hiring is inherently sustainable — every piece in our collection is used dozens of times rather than purchased once and discarded. We also repair, refinish, and repurpose items rather than replacing them, and donate retired stock to local charities.

Accessibility

A beautiful event shouldn't require a five-figure decor budget. Our hire packages start at accessible price points, and we work with clients to maximise visual impact within whatever budget they bring to the table.

Reliability

We deliver what we promise, when we promise it. Every item is inspected, cleaned, and packed the day before delivery. We carry backup stock for every hire so a last-minute breakage never derails your plans.

Coverage Area

We deliver and collect across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, and parts of Wiltshire. For venues further afield, get in touch — we're often willing to travel for larger bookings. Delivery and collection are included in all hire packages within our core area.
